What is a Cover supervisor ?
A cover supervisor is an unqualified teacher that covers lessons in short term roles whilst the class teacher is absent. The day-to-day role of a cover supervisor would simply entail in them teaching the class from a lesson plan set in the absence of the teacher.

At Aspire People we offer many routes into teaching, some being gaining work experience in schools as a cover supervisor. We recruit lots of graduates who are keen to get into teaching and gain experience, however some are not ready to apply for a PGCE, so we help them to gain experience and understand what teaching is like in order to aid their SCITT application.
