Old Church Primary School is a 2 form entry primary school located in Wednesbury.
When we originally met with Old Church they wanted to partner an agency that would not only get to know the school and supply them with quality staff but to also go the extra mile and give back when possible.
We conducted a investigation meeting with Headteacher Davina Clacy to understand the schools mission, culture and values. From this we were able to match our already vetted bank of staff to Old Church.
How Did Old Church Feel?
As a Headteacher, one of the biggest headaches is staffing and teachers going off
sick. The question is always where will I find consistency for the children and
high quality staff who will deliver lessons without a riot going on in the
classroom? We have all met those supply teachers where the children would learn
more without them being in the room!I started working with Aspire around 7 years ago. I had used numerous firms up
until that point who all promised you the best yet left you with more headaches
when the supply teacher left with unmarked books and a classroom turned upside
down.I can honestly say that from the moment I started working with Emma I have felt
supported and reassured by the cheery voice at the end of a phone and I have
total trust in who she sends me. There is always an email with their details,
photograph and DBS number before they arrive.I currently have 3 long term supply teachers
with us from Aspire- Yes, it has been one of those budget breaking years but
they are all excellent. I have actually appointed two teachers to my permanent
staff for September.Emma also helps us to work within our budget. Her teachers are not expensive and she
has that personal touch that reassures and supports us. She listens to our
