We are a vibrant and inclusive primary school located in the heart of Leamington Spa. Committed to providing exceptional education and fostering a nurturing environment, we are seeking a dedicated Year 6 Class Teacher to join our team. This is a position starting immediately and continuing until July.
Role Overview:
As a Year 6 Class Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences to our students. You will inspire and motivate pupils, preparing them academically and emotionally for the transition to secondary school. Working collaboratively with colleagues and engaging with parents and guardians, you will contribute to the overall success and positive atmosphere of the school.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in accordance with the national curriculum, tailored to the needs of Year 6 students.
Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing constructive feedback and support to facilitate their learning and development.
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and personal growth.
Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the development and implementation of school policies and initiatives.
Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, providing regular updates on pupil progress and addressing any concerns or queries in a timely manner.
Uphold high standards of behaviour and discipline, promoting positive relationships and a respectful learning environment.
Participate in staff meetings, professional development opportunities, and other school-related activities as required.
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Experience teaching Key Stage 2, preferably in Year 6.
Enhanced DBS check on the update service or willingness to obtain one prior to employment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to effectively plan and deliver engaging lessons.
