Salary: M1-M6 (depending on experience)
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality lessons tailored to the Year 2 curriculum
Create a positive and nurturing classroom environment where students feel supported and motivated
Monitor and track individual student progress and adapt lessons to meet their learning needs
Use assessment data to inform future lesson planning and intervention strategies
Promote the development of students' literacy and numeracy skills, preparing them for the next stage of their education
Work closely with parents, colleagues, and support staff to ensure the well-being and success of all students
Encourage positive behavior and manage the classroom effectively to ensure a focused and enjoyable learning experience
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - M1-M6 pay scale
Experience teaching in primary education, particularly with Year 2 students
Strong knowledge of the Year 2 curriculum (literacy, numeracy, and foundation subjects)
Excellent classroom management skills and a creative, engaging teaching style
The ability to assess and support the diverse needs of young learners
Passion for helping children develop academically, socially, and emotionally
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with the school community
