Job Overview
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting teachers to deliver engaging and effective lessons to our diverse group of students. You will provide both in-class and individual support to students, including those with special educational needs (SEN). Your contributions will ensure that all pupils have the opportunity to succeed in a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
Support the class teacher in planning, delivering, and evaluating lessons.
Work with individual pupils or small groups to support their learning and development.
Provide additional support for students with special educational needs (SEN).
Help prepare classroom resources and materials for lessons.
Assist with maintaining classroom discipline and promoting a positive learning environment.
Supervise students during lunchtime, break time, and other school activities.
Monitor and record pupil progress, helping to provide feedback on their learning.
Build strong, positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a candidate who is:
Passionate about working with children and helping them succeed.
Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
Patient, flexible, and adaptable in supporting a range of learners.
An excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
Ideally holds a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
Experience working with children in a school setting is desirable but not essential.
