About the Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will provide vital support in the classroom, working closely with teachers to help deliver engaging lessons and assist students in achieving their full potential. You will work with individual students, small groups, and sometimes whole classes, offering tailored assistance where needed to ensure students succeed both academically and socially.
Your role will be essential in supporting students with additional needs, as well as providing general classroom support. You will contribute to creating an inclusive, engaging, and safe learning environment that supports the educational and emotional development of students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers in delivering high-quality lessons and helping students grasp key concepts.
- Work with students individually or in small groups to provide targeted support and reinforce learning.
- Support students with additional learning needs, ensuring they have equal access to the curriculum.
- Help to manage classroom behaviour, ensuring a positive and productive learning environment.
- Contribute to the preparation of teaching materials and resources.
- Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents when necessary.
- Support the emotional and social development of students, helping to build confidence and motivation.
- Assist with the supervision of students during break times or other school activities.
About You:
- We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual who is passionate about supporting students and contributing to their educational success. The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience working with children or young people, ideally within a school environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and build positive relationships with students.
- A proactive approach to supporting learning and encouraging student participation.
- Patience, flexibility, and a genuine interest in helping students achieve their best.
- An understanding of special educational needs (SEN) would be beneficial, but not essential.
- A positive and inclusive attitude towards helping every student succeed.
