About the Role:
As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to support the learning and development of children across the primary school age range. Whether it's helping students with their classwork, supporting small group activities, or providing one-on-one assistance, your role will be vital in creating a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the class teacher in delivering lessons and managing the classroom.
Work with small groups of students, providing tailored support to help them achieve their learning goals.
Assist with classroom activities and ensure students are engaged and on task.
Provide individual support for students with additional needs, helping them to fully participate in lessons.
Help with classroom management, promoting positive behavior and a supportive environment.
Assist with marking, preparing resources, and any other tasks as required by the class teacher.
Build strong, positive relationships with students, encouraging their personal and academic growth.
About You:
Experience working with children, ideally in a primary school setting (though not essential).
A patient, caring, and supportive attitude with a genuine desire to help children succeed.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
A flexible, proactive approach to supporting learning and the ability to adapt to changing classroom needs.
An understanding of how to create an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
A commitment to supporting the school's values and fostering a positive and respectful classroom culture.
