Job description
Aspire People, a leading education recruitment agency, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Part-Time Teaching Assistant to join a dynamic Key Stage 1 (KS1) class at a school in Nuneaton.This position provides an excellent opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of young learners in a supportive educational setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Classroom Support:
Collaborate with the class teacher to deliver engaging and effective lessons.
Provide individual and small group support to students, ensuring their learning needs are met.
Assist in implementing differentiated instruction to address the diverse needs of the students.
Behaviour Management:
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Implement and reinforce school policies on behavior and discipline.
Work alongside the class teacher to address and manage behavioural challenges.
Assessment and Feedback:
Support the class teacher in assessing students' progress and contribute to the preparation of reports.
Offer constructive feedback to students to encourage continuous improvement.
Assist in implementing assessment strategies and maintaining accurate records.
Resource Preparation:
Ensure a well-organized and stimulating learning environment for students.
Collaborate with the teaching team to create visually engaging displays celebrating students' achievements.
Communication:
Establish effective communication with students, teachers, and parents.
Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required.
Work closely with the class teacher to ensure a coordinated and cohesive approach to teaching and learning.
Requirements:
Previous experience working with Key Stage 1 students is advantageous.
Relevant qualifications in education or a related field.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, adaptability, and a genuine passion for supporting children's learning.
Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
