Job description

We are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support one of our mainstreams schools specialist hub, a supportive and nurturing environment designed to help pupils develop their social and emotional skills. Our ultimate goal is to enable a successful reintegration of pupils into their mainstream lessons and school life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with individual pupils and small groups to support their emotional well-being and engagement in learning.
- Support the delivery of tailored interventions focused on social, emotional, and behavioural development.
- Help create a calm, structured, and encouraging learning environment.
- Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals to provide consistent and effective support.
- Act as a positive role model, building trusting relationships with pupils.
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience working with children or young people, particularly those with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs or SEN (desirable, not essential).
- Calm, patient, and resilient under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Committed to the values of inclusion and equal opportunities in education.
- Willingness to learn and engage in training and development.
