Job description
Aspire People is currently recruiting on behalf of a vibrant and inclusive secondary school in East London for a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their team from September. This is a full-time position, ideal for those looking to make a positive impact in education-whether you're an experienced TA or someone keen to gain school-based experience and progress in your career.Key Responsibilities:
* Support teaching staff in delivering engaging and effective lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
* Provide one-to-one and small group support to students to help them access the curriculum and achieve their potential
* Assist in the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) for students with **SEN**, **EAL**, or additional needs
* Promote positive behaviour and help maintain a focused and inclusive classroom environment
* Prepare classroom resources and support the organisation of learning activities
* Supervise students during break times, lunchtimes, and school trips as needed
* Contribute to the overall ethos and life of the school, including involvement in school events and activities
* Engage with training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills
Requirements:
* Previous experience working with children or young people (in a school or similar setting preferred)
* A calm, positive, and adaptable attitude
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* A willingness to work collaboratively as part of a team
* A genuine passion for supporting student learning and well-being
* A commitment to safeguarding and child protection
