Aspire People are seeking a dedicated Speech and Language Teaching Assistant to support pupils with speech, language, and communication needs (SLCN) across Early Years, KS1, and KS2 in Bexley. Working closely with the school's SENCO and external Speech and Language Therapists, you'll help deliver intervention programmes and one-to-one support that truly makes a difference.

Speech and Language Teaching Assistant - responsibilities

* Supporting pupils with a range of speech and language needs
* Assisting with the delivery of tailored speech and communication interventions
* Working 1:1 or in small groups to develop language and social skills
* Liaising with class teachers, SEN staff, and therapists
* Tracking and reporting on student progress

Speech and Language Teaching Assistant- requirements

* Psychology or core subject graduate with a 2.1 or above
* Confidence supporting children with challenging behaviour
* Previous experience working with SEN pupils is desirable
* Strong academic background
* Confident and motivated
* Desire to progress onto teacher training or Educational Psychology
