Specialist Teaching AssistantAre you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and young peoples educational experience? We're currently looking to recruit enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to support our client specialist settings in the Shrewsbury area, supporting students across a wide range of ages and learning needs.
As a Teaching Assistant you will work closely with teaching staff, healthcare professionals, and other specialists to provide tailored educational and personal support. The focus is on enabling each student to access the curriculum, develop life skills, and thrive in a safe, nurturing environment.
The Role:
- Support students with a variety of learning difficulties and disabilities
- Assist with day-to-day classroom activities
- Promote pupils independence, emotional regulation, communication, and wellbeing
- Ensure to promote an inclusive, engaging and safe learning environment
- Support pupils personal and social development
You Will Need To:
- Build strong, supportive relationships with students and staff
- Be patient, proactive, and flexible in your approach
- Remain calm and solution-focused when supporting behaviour that can challenge
- Have a genuine passion for working with young people with additional needs
- Work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
