SEND Qualified Teacher needed in South Birmingham (Full or Part Time)Are you a passionate and dedicated SEND Qualified Teacher looking for an exciting new opportunity? We are seeking an experienced SEND Teacher to join our team in South Birmingham, supporting students with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) from ages 2 to 18.
Position: SEND Qualified Teacher
Location: South Birmingham
Start Date: ASAP
Hours: Full-time or Part-time (flexible options available)
Contract: Ongoing with potential for permanent placement
About the Role:
As a SEND Teacher, you will be working in a supportive and inclusive environment, delivering tailored lessons to students with a variety of SEND needs, including autism, learning disabilities, ADHD, and more. You'll be responsible for creating and implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and ensuring each student has the opportunity to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
What We're Looking For:
* A qualified teacher with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) and SEND experience
* Expertise in teaching students with SEND, across different age groups (2-18 years)
* Ability to develop and implement personalised learning plans for students
* Strong classroom management and the ability to work with small groups and one-to-one
* Passion for making a difference in the lives of young people with SEND
Desirable (but not essential):
* SEND-specific qualifications (e.g. PGCE in SEND, Level 5/7 in Special Education Needs)
* Experience working with EHCPs (Education, Health and Care Plans)
* Knowledge of communication support strategies, such as Makaton or PECS
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
