SEND Primary TeacherLocation: Whalley Range, M16, Manchester
Start date: January 2026 Long Term Full Time
Pay: £150-£170
Do you have a passion for making a difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs (SEND)? If you're experienced, dedicated, we want to hear from you! We are currently looking for a passionate SEND Teacher to work with one of our Primary Specialist Schools in the South Manchester area where you will be supporting young people with complex learning difficulties and Autism.
Your Role
* Plan and deliver tailored lessons that meet the individual needs of pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEND), ensuring progress in line with EHCPs (Education, Health and Care Plans).
* Differentiate teaching strategies to accommodate a range of learning styles and abilities.
* Assess, monitor, and report on pupil progress, adapting plans as necessary to achieve learning outcomes.
* Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and external agencies to provide holistic support.
* Create an inclusive classroom environment that promotes positive behaviour and emotional well-being.
* Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and contribute to annual reviews.
* Communicate effectively with parents/carers, providing regular updates and support strategies for home learning.
* Ensure safeguarding and child protection policies are always adhered to.
* Maintain accurate records and contribute to whole-school SEND strategies and development.
* Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated on best practices in SEND education.
