Are you a passionate and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant ready to make a lasting impact on the lives of young people with complex needs?
We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and dynamic team in a specialist school in Coventry, working with both primary and secondary aged students with a range of needs including Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges.
🌈 Your Role:
Support students with PMLD and SEMH needs in a tailored learning environment.
Work closely with class teachers and therapists to implement individual learning and care plans.
Assist with personal care, sensory activities, and behaviour regulation strategies.
Encourage engagement, independence, and emotional wellbeing.
Build meaningful, trusting relationships with students and staff.
🎓 You Will Need:
Experience supporting children/young people with PMLD and/or SEMH (essential).
Confidence in working across both primary and secondary age groups.
Strong communication skills and a calm, empathetic approach.
Team player attitude with a willingness to go the extra mile.
Relevant qualifications or training (e.g., Team Teach, PECS, Makaton, Moving & Handling) are highly desirable.
