Position: Primary Teaching AssistantLocation: Rugby, Warwickshire
Salary: Competitive, depending on experience
Start Date: ASAP or from January 2026
Are you passionate about supporting young learners in their educational journey? Do you have the enthusiasm and dedication to help children thrive in a primary school setting? We are looking for a caring, motivated, and dynamic Primary Teaching Assistant to join our school in Rugby.
The school aims to create a nurturing environment where children are encouraged to be curious, confident, and creative. As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you'll play a key role in providing essential support to both teachers and students, ensuring every child receives the attention and care they need to succeed.
What We're Looking For:
Experience working with primary-aged children in an educational setting (though relevant experience in childcare or volunteer work will also be considered).
A positive, friendly, and patient approach to supporting young learners, particularly those who may need extra help.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and parents.
A genuine interest in supporting children's academic, emotional, and social development.
Ideally, a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent), though this is not essential.

Your Role:
Assist the class teacher in planning, preparing, and delivering lessons and activities.
Provide one-to-one and small group support to students, particularly those who require additional assistance.
Help students engage with tasks, encouraging participation and supporting their individual learning needs.
Support with behaviour management, ensuring a positive and safe classroom environment.
Foster students' personal, social, and emotional development, helping them to build confidence and resilience.
