Job Title: SEN Teaching AssistantLocation: Primary School, B93 Area

Aspire People are excited to partner with a welcoming and supportive primary school in the B93 area to find a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant. The ideal candidate will be passionate about helping children with special educational needs to reach their full potential in an inclusive and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Support students with special educational needs (SEN) on a one-to-one and small group basis.
Assist in the delivery of tailored learning programs to ensure students are engaged and making progress.
Provide support in the classroom by helping the teacher with differentiation and adapting activities.
Foster an environment of inclusion, ensuring all children feel valued and supported.
Work closely with the SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) to monitor student progress and provide feedback.
Promote positive behavior management strategies and assist in the development of social and emotional skills for students with SEN.
Ensure the safety and well-being of students at all times.
Requirements:
Previous experience working with children with SEN (particularly in a primary school setting) is essential.
A patient, caring, and flexible attitude towards students with a variety of needs.
Excellent communication skills to work effectively with students, teachers, and parents.
Strong understanding of safeguarding practices.
A Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent is desirable, but not essential.
A DBS check will be required (Aspire People will support this process).
