Job description
Aspire is collaborating with a special educational needs (SEN) school located in the Kidderminster vicinity.We are currently in search of SEN Teaching Assistants (TAs) with extensive expertise in the following areas:
* Communication difficulties (SLCN)
* Autism
* Profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD)
* Learning disability
* Visual impairment
* Hearing impairment
The preferred candidate will ideally:
* Hold a recognized Teaching Assistant Qualification, which would be advantageous.
* Possess a minimum of 3 months of experience within an educational setting, particularly working with students with Special Educational Needs, including Autism (ASD), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD).
* Demonstrate proficiency in utilizing communication methods such as British Sign Language (BSL) and Makaton, which would be desirable.
* Hold an enhanced DBS certificate registered to the update service or be willing to apply for a new certificate at their own expense.
* Exhibit the ability to adapt their skills to meet the unique needs of each individual child.
* Display kindness, care, and patience in interactions with children requiring specialized support.
