SEN Teacher - Primary - Immediate StartLocation: Wednesbury
Contract: Long Term
Are you a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teacher with experience working in a primary setting? We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled professional to join our inclusive school community as soon as possible.
About the Role:
You will be responsible for planning and delivering tailored, high-quality teaching for pupils with a wide range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). You will work closely with classroom teachers, support staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure every child makes excellent progress academically, socially, and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons to pupils with SEN in line with their Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs)
* Assess, monitor, and record pupil progress regularly, adapting teaching approaches to individual needs
* Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, including Speech and Language Therapists, Educational Psychologists, and Occupational Therapists
* Support the social and emotional development of pupils and foster an inclusive classroom environment
* Contribute to the development and implementation of individual learning plans and behaviour management strategies
* Communicate regularly with parents and carers to share progress and support strategies
Person Specification:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Proven experience teaching SEN pupils in a primary school environment
* Strong knowledge of SEN legislation, frameworks, and best practices (including the SEND Code of Practice)
* Excellent classroom management skills and ability to adapt lessons for different learning styles
* Empathy, patience, and a passion for supporting vulnerable children
* Strong team player with excellent communication skills
