Job Description:
Josh of Aspire People is seeking a passionate and dedicated 1:1 Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to join our dynamic team.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing support to a specific student with special educational needs, ensuring they have access to an inclusive and enriching education experience.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide one-on-one support to a student with special educational needs.
* Assist the student in accessing the curriculum and adapting materials as needed.
* Develop and implement individualized learning plans in collaboration with the SENCO and classroom teacher.
* Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
* Monitor and track the student's progress and report findings to the SENCO and teaching staff.
* Support the student's social and emotional development.
* Collaborate with other professionals, such as speech therapists, occupational therapists, and educational psychologists, as required.
* Ensure the student's safety and well-being at all times.
Qualifications and Requirements:
* Previous experience working with children with special educational needs is preferred.
* A relevant qualification in Special Educational Needs, Childcare or Teaching Assistant (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, NVQ, or equivalent) is desirable.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with SEN.
* The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
* Strong organizational and time-management skills.
