Job Title: Primary Teaching Assistant (Including SEN Support )Location: Kings Norton, Birmingham

We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant (TA) to join our warm and inclusive primary school in Kings Norton. This role includes supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), particularly through our Aspire provision, which offers tailored learning support for pupils who require additional guidance.
About the Role
As a TA, you'll play a key role in supporting pupils both in the classroom and in smaller group settings. A significant part of this position will involve working with pupils who have a range of SEN needs, including ASD, ADHD, and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) difficulties. Our Aspire provision is specifically designed to help these pupils thrive in a nurturing, structured environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Supporting the class teacher with the day-to-day running of the classroom
Providing 1:1 and small group interventions for pupils with SEN
Implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour plans
Helping to manage behaviour positively and effectively
Assisting pupils with personal care, if required
Encouraging positive interaction and engagement in learning activities
Working closely with the SENDCo, Aspire team and external professionals
We Are Looking For Someone Who:
Has experience working with children in a primary school setting (essential)
Has knowledge and/or experience of working with children with SEN
Is patient, resilient, and nurturing
Can work effectively as part of a team and independently
Has excellent communication skills
