Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (with Own Transport)Location: Stoke on Trent
Contract: Full-time / Term Time Only
Are you active, resilient, and passionate about supporting children with special educational needs? We're looking for a sporty, hands-on SEN Teaching Assistant to join a dynamic team in a specialist provision. This role requires someone with their own vehicle, as travel between sites may be necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with complex needs, including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH.
* Use physical intervention techniques when necessary, always following school policy and training.
* Encourage participation in physical and outdoor activities to support learning and engagement.
* Build strong relationships with students, promoting emotional regulation and positive behaviour.
Requirements:
* Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle (travel expenses may be reimbursed).
* A sporty, active individual comfortable with physical tasks and activities.
* Experience with or willingness to be trained in de-escalation and physical intervention (e.g., Team Teach or MAPA).
* Prior experience in SEN or a strong desire to work in a challenging but rewarding environment.
