Job descriptionAre you a hardworking SEN Specialist Mentor looking for a new position in Wolverhampton?
I am recruiting for a SEN School that accommodates pupils aged 3-7 years old with severe and complex needs. The children here have a range of needs including Autism, Communication difficulties, Syndromes and ESBD. This is a full-time maternity cover position working within KS1. The school have stated that they need a dedicated mentor that will support the Teacher and other SEN Specialists within the classroom and will work alongside the pupils with the HCP's. You will be confident at leading small group work with pupils, working 1-2-1 with individuals and also assisting the Teacher and class with general classroom duties.
We have worked with this school for a number of years and have established a trusting relationship. We have placed many SEN specialists within the school and have only ever had positive feedback regarding the school, team and children.
As a full time SEN Specialist Mentor you will be expected to;
*Assist the Teacher within the classroom
*Support each pupil and work through their HCP's
*Lead small group work and 1-2-1 work with the pupils
*Provide progress reports for any group and 1-2-1 work
*Attend department meetings, parents' evenings and other school events
This is a fantastic opportunity to work within this school with the potential of securing a perm post at the end of the maternity cover. I can offer good rates of pay and will be on hand if you need help with anything.
I will be delighted to speak with anyone who has relevant experience and is confident they can thrive in this role. If this is you, please apply and I will be in touch with you shortly.
