Job Title: SEMH Teaching AssistantLocation: Coventry
Salary: £85 - £100 per day (dependent on experience)
Contract Type: Full-Time, Term Time Only
Start Date: September 2025

We are seeking a dedicated and resilient SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a forward-thinking and inclusive school in Coventry. This is a rewarding opportunity to support students who need a calm, consistent, and compassionate adult to help them thrive both emotionally and academically.
Key Responsibilities:
Work 1:1 or with small groups of students with SEMH needs.
Support students with emotional regulation, behaviour management, and social interaction.
Work closely with teaching staff, SENCOs, and external agencies to implement individual support plans.
Create a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment.
Promote positive behaviour and deliver tailored interventions.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Experience working with children or young people with SEMH, autism, ADHD, or similar needs.
Strong behaviour management skills and a patient, empathetic approach.
The ability to build trusting relationships with vulnerable students.
A genuine passion for supporting students to overcome barriers to learning.
Relevant qualifications (e.g. Team Teach, CACHE Level 2/3, or similar) - desirable but not essential.
