Job Title: SEMH Teacher - Full-TimeLocation: West Midlands
Position: Full-Time
Start Date: DBS Dependant
Are you a compassionate, dedicated educator with experience in supporting students with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs? [School Name] is seeking a full-time SEMH Teacher to join our dedicated team and help provide an inclusive, supportive environment for students who may face additional challenges to their learning.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver tailored, high-quality lessons for students with SEMH needs.
* Provide individualized support for students, ensuring a differentiated approach that meets their unique learning needs.
* Develop and implement strategies to promote social, emotional, and academic development.
* Build strong, trusting relationships with students, fostering a safe and supportive learning environment.
* Work closely with SENCOs (Special Educational Needs Coordinators), pastoral staff, and parents to develop and review Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
* Support students in managing emotions, behaviour, and social interactions in a school setting.
* Monitor and assess students' progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
* Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure students' holistic needs are being met.
Requirements:
* A Bachelor's Degree in Education, Special Educational Needs, or a related field (QTS or equivalent certification required).
* Proven experience in teaching students with SEMH needs (experience in a similar role is highly desirable).
* Strong understanding of SEMH-related challenges and effective strategies for intervention.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
* Passionate about providing tailored, empathetic teaching to students who need additional support.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team, contributing to a positive school culture.
* A calm, patient, and flexible approach to teaching and behavior management.
