About the Role:
As an SEMH Teaching Assistant with Aspire People, you will play a key role in supporting students with a range of social, emotional, and mental health challenges. You will:
Work one-to-one and in small groups with students, supporting their academic and emotional development.
Assist the class teacher in delivering lessons, ensuring that all students are engaged and making progress.
Provide a safe and supportive learning environment where students can thrive.
Help implement individual learning plans (ILPs) and strategies to manage behavior.
Build positive, trusting relationships with students, promoting confidence and self-esteem.
What We're Looking For:
Previous experience working with children, particularly those with SEMH or additional needs (training can be provided).
A patient, understanding, and empathetic approach.
Strong communication skills to build effective relationships with students, staff, and parents.
Ability to stay calm and positive in challenging situations.
A proactive attitude and a willingness to go the extra mile to support children's well-being and learning.
