We are looking for a dedicated, resilient, and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a highly supportive Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Coventry, working with secondary-aged students who present with complex needs and SEMH challenges.

📚 Contract: Full-time, Term-time only
💰 Salary: Competitive (based on experience and qualifications)
About the Role:
As a Teaching Assistant in our PRU, you'll play a vital role in helping young people re-engage with education. You will support students both in and out of the classroom, help manage challenging behaviour, and assist with tailored learning plans that meet their individual needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Support students with SEMH and complex behavioural needs in 1:1 and small group settings
Assist the class teacher in delivering personalised and engaging lessons
Help implement behaviour strategies and individual support plans
Build positive, trusting relationships with students
Promote emotional regulation, resilience and self-confidence
We're Looking For:
Experience working with children/young people with SEMH, autism, ADHD or other additional needs
A calm, patient, and consistent approach
Excellent communication and de-escalation skills
A genuine desire to help students overcome barriers to learning
Team player with the ability to adapt to a dynamic environment
(Desirable) Team Teach or similar behaviour management training
