Job description
Are you an experienced SEMH worker?I am currently recruiting for an experience SEMH worker for a remote SEN School in Staffordshire. This is a full time position starting in January running until the end of the academic year, to work alongside a pupil that has SEMH needs. This will be to support them in the classroom as much as possible however 1-2-1 work outside of the classroom when needed. The school are looking for someone to be a secure person for the students who can demonstrate a calming approach to support the social, emotional and mental heath needs of the pupils.
Aspire have been working with this school for four years and have developed a positive and trusting relationship with them. Some of the positions that we have filled previously have gone on to permanent positions. We have always had positive feedback from the staff we have placed within the school commenting especially on the support offered by the SLT team.
As a full time SEMH worker the school would expect you to act as a permanent member of staff by naturally;
-Assistant the pupils within class and outside of class.
-Report progress for the pupils to the class teacher and relevant professionals.
-Help the pupils develop resilience to be able to stay within the classroom
-Recognise the individual needs of the pupils
