Job description
Aspire People are working with a welcoming secondary school in Hereford who are looking for a Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is a full-time position supporting pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4 in a range of subjects.The school are ideally looking for someone who can build positive relationships with students, support learning in the classroom and help maintain a focused, supportive environment. This position has the potential to become permanent for the right person, as the school are keen to secure a consistent member of support staff.
The role:
Supporting students in lessons across all subjects
Working with teachers to ensure pupils are engaged and supported
Providing 1:1 and small group intervention where needed
Helping maintain a positive learning environment
The ideal candidate will:
Have experience working with young people, ideally in a school setting
Be confident managing behaviour and supporting learning
Be reliable, patient and proactive
Have a genuine interest in working with secondary aged students
