🔬 Science Technician (Part-Time)📍 Tameside (All-Girls Secondary School)
🕒 Permanent - 22.5 hours per week, term-time only
💰 Salary dependent on experience
Aspire People are delighted to be working with a well-respected and adored all-girls secondary school in Tameside, seeking to appoint a part-time Science Technician to support their successful and forward-thinking Science department.
This is a brilliant opportunity for someone with a science background who is organised, safety-conscious, and enjoys working in a busy school environment.
Role Overview:
- Provide practical support for science lessons across KS3 and KS4.
- Prepare, set up and clear away apparatus and materials for experiments.
- Maintain safe storage of chemicals, equipment, and lab areas.
- Support teachers and students during practical activities.
- Assist in maintaining lab inventories and risk assessments.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Experience working in a lab or school science environment.
- A strong understanding of science equipment and safety procedures.
- Excellent organisation and time management skills.
- A positive attitude and willingness to support the wider school team.
- An enhanced DBS on the update service (or be willing to obtain one through Aspire People).
