Job description
Aspire People is currently recruiting on behalf of a dynamic and inclusive secondary school in East London for a dedicated Science Teacher to join their team from September. This full-time position is suitable for both experienced teachers and enthusiastic ECTs looking to develop their teaching career in a supportive and ambitious school environment.Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver high-quality Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the ability to specialise in Biology, Chemistry or Physics
* Create a stimulating and engaging classroom environment that promotes a love of science and encourages curiosity
* Assess, monitor, and report on student progress in line with departmental and school policies
* Differentiate teaching strategies to support the learning needs of all students, including those with SEN or EAL
* Contribute to the development of the Science curriculum and departmental resources
* Maintain high standards of classroom behaviour in accordance with the school's policies
* Participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and enrichment opportunities
* Engage with continuous professional development and work collaboratively with colleagues to support student achievement
Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
* Strong subject knowledge in Science and a specialism in Biology, Chemistry or Physics
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* A proactive and reflective teaching approach
* A commitment to safeguarding and the welfare of young people
