Are you a Qualified Chartered Accountant currently looking for a new opportunity?Aspire People are working closely with a Multi Academy Trust in Birmingham with the recruitment of a Qualified Chartered Accountant. The role is full time and temporary, with the view of a permanent position for the right candidate.
The successful applicant will be working with the Trust's central administration team which is based at a SEN school in Birmingham. Applicants must be qualified, chartered and have a proven track record as an Accountant. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a fantastic central team at this forward thinking Multi Academy Trust.
You will be responsible for the following:
* Preparation of monthly management accounts
* Provide management accounting support to the Heads of the school
* Preparation of the annual budget and twice-yearly reforecasts
* Liaise with the school administration team to prepare and issue all half-termly bills
* Liaising with local authorities and parents to collect payments
* Maintain cashbooks on a daily basis
* Updating the receipt of school fees and all payments
* Reconciling the bank accounts on a weekly basis
* Maintain the petty cashbooks
* Updating the receipt of donations, investment dividends and all other income and payments
* Assist the Financial Controller with posting journals and preparation of analysis on the Charity's activities
* Maintain the Fixed Asset Register for the organisation, adding and disposing of assets when required, reconciling to the general ledger and reviewing monthly depreciation journal
