Pupil Guide/ Travel Escort - BirminghamAre you a part time student, or someone looking to earn some extra cash on days you are free?
I am currently recruiting for a number of pupil guides to assist mini bus drivers with taking children with SEND needs to school.
There is no driving involved in this role, you will just need to help support the children and ensure they are taken to school safely.
The needs of the children will cover a range of medical and behaviour conditions and as a pupil guide you will be responsible for their care, safety and wellbeing during the journey. You will play a key role as you will be the individual who will liaise between parents, school and the Travel Assist team.
We are looking for individuals who are caring patient, punctual and reliable and can work flexibly. The hours of the pupil guide can be anything between 7.00am - 5.30 pm Monday to Friday with typical hours of work being 7.00am - 9.30am and 3.00pm - 5.30pm.
This is a casual role covering absences, sickness or covering new routes at short notice. If you are looking for a flexible exciting opportunity this will be the role for you!
Requirements:
* Experience working or caring for children with special needs.
* Previous experience as a pupil guide (Preferred).
* Excellent communication.
* Team Teach Training (Preferred).
* Harness Training (Desired).
