About Us:

Aspire is proud to be working in partnership with a brand new specialist primary school in Walsall, dedicated to supporting children with a wide range of Special Educational Needs (SEN), including autism, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.

This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of an exciting new setting, shaping the school's culture and making a real difference from the very beginning. The school offers a nurturing and inclusive environment that supports children in reaching their full potential-academically, socially, and emotionally.

The Role:

We are seeking a passionate, committed, and experienced SEN Primary School Teacher to join the team and help establish outstanding teaching and learning practices. You will be working with small groups of pupils, delivering a bespoke and differentiated curriculum tailored to their individual learning profiles.

This is a rewarding role for a teacher who thrives on seeing the impact of their work every day, values building strong relationships with pupils, and enjoys working as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging, creative, and individualised lessons for children with SEN

Use a range of assessment tools to track progress and adapt teaching accordingly

Work closely with the school's SENCO, therapists, teaching assistants, and outside agencies

Promote a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment

Support pupils' holistic development, including emotional regulation and social interaction

Foster positive relationships with families, providing regular updates on progress

Essential Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

Proven experience teaching children with SEN, preferably in a specialist or inclusive primary setting

Deep understanding of SEN best practices and the SEND Code of Practice

Excellent communication, planning, and organisational skills

A nurturing, patient, and resilient approach to teaching

Desirable:

Experience with strategies such as TEACCH, PECS, or Makaton

Knowledge of EHCPs and contributing to annual reviews

Training in de-escalation or behaviour support approaches (e.g., Team Teach)

Why Join Us?

Be part of a pioneering team in a brand-new SEN primary school

Work in a purpose-built, well-resourced learning environment

Receive continuous professional development and career progression opportunities

Be part of a caring, collaborative, and passionate school community

Enjoy a positive work-life balance and supportive leadership
