SEND Teacher - Specialist SEND HubLocation: Alum Rock, Birmingham
Start Date: ASAP - Ongoing
Daily Rate: £168.80 - £232.57 (based on teacher pay scale)
Join a dedicated and compassionate team at a mainstream primary school in Alum Rock, Birmingham, as a SEND Teacher in their specialist SEND hub.
We are looking for a qualified and experienced SEND Teacher to support children with complex needs, working closely within a dedicated specialist environment. This is a rewarding and impactful role where you will have the opportunity to make a significant difference to the lives of children with diverse learning requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide high-quality teaching and support to children with complex SEND, ensuring their individual needs are met.
* Develop and deliver tailored lessons to help children access the curriculum in a supportive and nurturing environment.
* Collaborate with other professionals to create and implement individual education plans (IEPs).
* Support children with personal care, including intimate care, in a sensitive and respectful manner.
* Foster a positive, inclusive learning atmosphere to promote social, emotional, and academic development.
Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* Experience working with children with complex needs in a SEND setting (or a strong willingness to learn).
* A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting children.
* Knowledge and experience with creating and implementing IEPs is desirable.
* Ability to manage challenging behaviours and provide personalised support.
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
About the Role:
* This is an ongoing, full-time role, starting ASAP.
* The role is based within the school's SEND hub, working closely with children who have a range of complex needs.
* Daily rate will be between £168.80 and £232.57, depending on experience and qualifications.
* The role may require support with intimate care, so a sensitive and respectful approach is essential.
