Job description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and versatile Physical Education (PE) Teacher who can also cover either Maths or English. This full-time position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to both the physical and academic development of our students.This position is based within a vibrant and supportive secondary school based in Grantham. They are dedicated to providing a supportive and stimulating environment where students can excel both academically and personally.
Key Responsibilities:
PE Teaching Duties:
* Plan, deliver, and assess engaging PE lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
* Promote physical fitness, healthy lifestyles, and a love for sports among students.
* Organize and oversee extracurricular sports activities and events.
* Ensure the safe and effective use of sports equipment and facilities.
* Foster an inclusive and supportive environment where all students can participate and thrive.
Additional Subject Duties (Maths or English):
* Teach Maths or English lessons as required, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.
* Develop lesson plans that cater to the diverse abilities of students.
* Assess and report on students' progress and attainment in the additional subject.
* Support the development of literacy or numeracy skills through cross-curricular initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
* Degree in Physical Education or a related field.
* Strong subject knowledge in either Maths or English with the ability to teach up to GCSE level.
* Experience in teaching PE and the additional subject within a secondary school setting.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* A commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
