💰 Grade E SCP 11-16: £24,429 - £26,492 FTE

Aspire People are working in partnership with a well-respected and adored secondary school in Tameside to recruit a dedicated Pastoral Support Worker to join their inclusive and student-focused pastoral team.
This is a permanent, full-time (term-time plus two weeks) role, ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting the personal development, wellbeing, and behaviour of young people in a secondary school setting.
🧭 Role Overview:
You will work closely with the school's inclusion and pastoral leaders to provide both individual and group-based support to students, helping them overcome social, emotional or behavioural barriers to learning.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting daily pastoral and inclusion systems.
- Providing targeted interventions to students, both 1:1 and in small groups.
- Supporting with conflict resolution and behaviour management strategies.
- Delivering student development programmes and wellbeing activities.
- Assisting during unstructured times (e.g., break/lunch) and in-class if required.
- The specific year groups you will work with will be determined after interview.

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- A strong ability to build positive, supportive relationships with students.
- Experience working with young people in education, care, or youth settings (preferred, not essential).
- A flexible, solution-focused and resilient approach to student wellbeing and behaviour.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.
