Job description
An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a popular, forward-thinking SEND school as a Head of Department.
The Creative Faculty is an extremely popular choice at GCSE, with several classes in each year group. There are excellent facilities, and the infrastructure is well resourced, the ideal candidate must be able:
* to raise standards of pupil attainment and achievement within the curriculum area
* to engage and inspire pupils' imagination and creativity
* to monitor and support pupil progress providing appropriate intervention
* to be accountable for pupil progress within the subject area and department
* to ensure the provision of an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant, and differentiated curriculum for pupils studying in the department
* to be accountable for leading, managing and developing the subject/curriculum area
* to deploy financial and practical resources within the department effectively to support the school and department development plans
You must have a patient and understanding nature to support the needs of the students and the successful candidate will be leading a committed department to achieve success; you must have student well-being at the core of your values.
