About the Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages (Spanish & French) to join our vibrant team in Burton-on-Trent. This full-time position, starting in January 2026, offers an exciting opportunity to teach both Spanish and French across Key Stage 3, 4, and 5. The ideal candidate will be passionate about languages and cultures, and will inspire students to develop their skills in speaking, listening, reading, and writing in both languages.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality lessons in Spanish and French, ensuring engaging and interactive lessons for students at all levels.
Foster a love for languages, encouraging students to develop their speaking, listening, and writing abilities in both Spanish and French.
Provide regular assessments, feedback, and support to students, helping them reach their full potential.
Contribute to extracurricular language initiatives, such as cultural events, language clubs, and language trips.
Collaborate with colleagues in the MFL department to continuously improve the curriculum and ensure an innovative approach to teaching.
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience teaching Spanish and French at secondary level.
Proficiency in both Spanish and French, with the ability to teach both languages across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
Passion for languages and the ability to inspire students with a love of language and culture.
Strong classroom management skills and the ability to differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners.
