Job description
We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Male SEN Teaching Assistant with a strong sports background to join a supportive and forward-thinking school in Kidderminster. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting students with high SEN needs while also delivering structured and engaging physical activity sessions.Start Date: ASAP

Contract Type: Full-time, temp to perm
About the Role:
The successful candidate will play a dual role, providing one-to-one and group support to pupils with complex learning, emotional, and behavioural needs, while also leading and assisting with sports-based interventions, PE sessions, and structured play.
Key Responsibilities:
Support students with high-level SEN, including ASD, SEMH, ADHD, and communication difficulties
Assist in delivering individual learning plans and behaviour strategies
Lead or support structured physical activities and sports sessions to promote social skills, fitness, and self-esteem
Work closely with class teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to ensure consistent support
Promote a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment for all learners
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Proven experience working with children with high SEN needs
A background in sports coaching, PE, or physical activity
Strong behaviour management and a calm, consistent approach
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
A positive, resilient attitude and a genuine passion for making a difference
Qualifications such as Team Teach, Level 2/3 TA, or sports coaching certifications are highly desirable.
