Job description
Are you an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant with a passion for Key Stage 1 education?We're currently recruiting Teaching Assistants to support a mainstream Primary School in the Stoke area.
About the Role:
This role involves working closely with class teachers to support the delivery of high-quality teaching, either with individual pupils or small groups. You'll play a key role in both the academic progress and the personal development of the children in your care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support pupils across EYFS and KS1 under the direction of the class teacher.
- Deliver and adapt tailored learning activities for individuals or small groups.
- Promote pupils' emotional and social development, fostering resilience and independence.
- Support pupils with specific needs including those on a personalised curriculum or with care plans.
- Assist with personal care, hygiene, and lunchtime supervision when necessary.
We are looking for candidates who are:
- Patient, proactive, and flexible in their approach.
- Passionate about working with young children, especially in EYFS and KS1.
- Confident in supporting pupils with SEND or additional needs
- Willing to work as part of a committed and child-centred team.
Desirable (but not essential):
- Previous experience supporting pupils with a personalised curriculum.
- Knowledge of early childhood development and/or relevant qualifications in SEN support.
