Learning Support Assistant - Maternity CoverLocation: Stoke-on-Trent Area
Hours: 30 per week | Term Time Only
Contract: Temporary (Maternity Cover)
Start Date: As Soon As Possible
Aspire People are looking to place committed and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistants with a friendly and welcoming Catholic primary school in the Stoke-on-Trent area. This is a temporary post to cover maternity leave, providing support to a child with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).
This is a fantastic role for someone who enjoys working one-to-one with pupils and is passionate about helping children thrive and achieve their full potential in a nurturing and inclusive school environment.
Key Requirements:
- A minimum of NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent qualification)
- GCSEs in English and Maths at grade C/4 or above
- Previous experience working in a primary school setting
- A calm, patient, and positive approach to supporting children with additional needs
- The ability to use initiative and work independently, as well as part of a team
- A genuine love of working with children and forming positive relationships with pupils and adults alike
- Willingness to support the school's Catholic ethos
