Are you passionate about supporting students with special educational needs? Aspire People is seeking a dedicated and compassionate KS2 SEN Teaching Assistant (1:1) to join our dynamic team and make a positive impact on the educational journey of a child with unique needs.
Role Overview:
As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you'll provide tailored support to a KS2 student with special educational needs, ensuring they receive the individualized attention they need to thrive both academically and socially. You will work closely with the class teacher and other staff members to create an inclusive and supportive environment where every student can succeed.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 support to a KS2 student with SEN, focusing on their individual learning needs.
Assist with classroom activities, helping the student engage with their lessons and activities.
Support the student's emotional and social development, fostering confidence and self-esteem.
Help implement personalized learning plans and strategies under the guidance of the SENCo (Special Educational Needs Coordinator).
Build a positive relationship with the student to encourage independent learning and behavior.
Collaborate with the wider team to ensure the child's holistic needs are met.
Key Requirements:
Previous experience working with children, particularly those with special educational needs (SEN), is highly desirable.
Patience, empathy, and the ability to build trusting relationships with students.
A proactive attitude and willingness to adapt to different learning styles and needs.
Strong communication skills to work effectively with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
A desire to support children in achieving their full potential in a nurturing, inclusive environment.
