Job Title: Key Stage 1 TeacherLocation: Shrewsbury
Position Type: Full-time, Long-term, January Start
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Key Stage 1 Teacher for a long-term, full-time position at a primary school in Shrewsbury. The role is set to start in January, and we are looking for a passionate and dedicated teacher to join a supportive and dynamic school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging and effective lessons to Key Stage 1 students, supporting their academic, social, and emotional development.
Plan, prepare, and assess lessons in line with the National Curriculum, ensuring differentiation to meet the diverse needs of all learners.
Manage classroom behaviour effectively, fostering a positive and productive learning environment.
Provide targeted support for individuals and small groups, tailoring teaching to ensure all students make progress.
Collaborate with colleagues to plan and deliver cross-curricular activities that enhance student learning.
Support the social and emotional development of students, ensuring they feel safe and valued in the classroom.
Key Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree.
Experience teaching Key Stage 1 and a strong understanding of the National Curriculum.
A passion for supporting young children's learning and creating a positive, engaging classroom environment.
Strong classroom management skills, with the ability to adapt lessons and approaches to meet the needs of all students.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one).
