Contract Type: Full-Time
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and well-qualified Humanities Teacher to join our dedicated and supportive staff team from September 2025. This is a full-time, permanent position suitable for an experienced practitioner or an Early Career Teacher (ECT) eager to begin their teaching career in a nurturing and ambitious school environment.
Role Overview:
The successful candidate will deliver engaging and well-structured lessons across a range of humanities subjects, with a primary focus on History and/or Geography at Key Stages 3 and 4. The ability to teach Religious Studies or other humanities-related subjects would be an advantage but is not essential. You will join a collaborative faculty committed to high standards and academic excellence, encouraging all students to develop a deep understanding of the world around them.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in line with national curriculum expectations
Support and challenge students of all abilities to achieve their full potential
Contribute to curriculum development and departmental planning
Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely and effective feedback
Uphold high standards of behaviour, attendance, and engagement in learning
Participate in wider school activities, enrichment opportunities, and pastoral duties
Person Specification:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
A degree in a relevant Humanities subject
Strong subject knowledge and a passion for History, Geography, or related fields
A commitment to inclusive, student-centred education
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Willingness to contribute to the wider life of the school
