Aspire People is working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Bedford seeking a confident, skilled HLTA to join their team from September 2025. This role offers the chance to lead, support, and inspire young learners across the school.
About the Role
As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will:
* Provide targeted classroom support across Key Stage 1 and/or 2
* Take responsibility for leading small group interventions and occasionally delivering whole-class lessons under teacher direction
* Support teachers with planning, preparation, and assessment activities
* Help create a positive, inclusive learning environment where all pupils can thrive
* Use initiative to manage behaviour, support learning, and adapt to the needs of individual pupils
* Work collaboratively with teaching staff, SENCOs, and external professionals to support academic and social development
* Uphold school safeguarding, behaviour, and health and safety procedures at all times

The ideal candidate will:
* Hold HLTA status or demonstrate equivalent experience and readiness to lead learning
* Have a strong understanding of the primary curriculum and a passion for working with children
* Be proactive, adaptable, and confident managing classroom responsibilities
* Be committed to supporting pupil wellbeing and progress, both academically and socially
* Demonstrate excellent communication skills and work well within a team
* Be resilient, positive, and ready to make a meaningful contribution to school life
