Job Role: Film and Media TeacherPart time: Tuesday- Thursday
Location: St Ives
Start Date: January 2024 - July 2024
Salary Scale: MPS/UPS
We are currently working with a good school who is seeking a dynamic and passionate Media Studies and Film Studies Teacher to join our dedicated team. This part-time position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the academic growth and creative development of our students. The successful candidate will inspire and engage students in the exciting fields of media and film, fostering a love for learning and critical thinking.
Responsibilities:
1. Curriculum Delivery: Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in Media Studies and Film Studies, ensuring that lessons are stimulating, challenging, and meet the needs of diverse learners.
2. Assessment and Feedback: Implement effective assessment strategies to monitor and evaluate student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.
3. Differentiation: Differentiate instruction to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities, creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
4. Resource Development: Contribute to the development of teaching resources, including lesson plans, multimedia materials, and assessments.
5. Extracurricular Activities: Encourage student participation in extracurricular activities related to media and film studies, such as film clubs, media projects, or student film productions.
6. Parental Communication: Maintain open and positive communication with parents, providing updates on student progress and addressing any concerns.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Media Studies, Film Studies, or a related field is preferred.
* Teaching qualification and certification.
* Relevant teaching experience at the secondary level (GCSE & A level)
* Strong knowledge of current trends and developments in media and film.
* Proficiency in using technology and multimedia resources in teaching.
