Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Years SEND Teacher to join our team.
The successful candidate will work closely with children aged 3 to 5 who have various learning disabilities, providing specialised instruction and support to meet their individual needs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver engaging lessons and activities that cater to the diverse needs and abilities of children with learning disabilities.
* Create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment where every child feels valued and supported.
* Utilise differentiated teaching strategies to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
* Collaborate with parents, carers, and other professionals to develop personalised learning plans for each child.
* Monitor and assess student progress regularly, adjusting teaching methods and interventions as needed.
* Provide ongoing support and guidance to teaching assistants and support staff working within the Early Years SEND program.
* Stay updated on best practices and developments in the field of special education, incorporating new strategies and techniques into teaching practice.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification in special education.
* Experience working with young children with learning disabilities, preferably in an Early Years setting.
* Sound knowledge of various learning disabilities and their impact on child development and learning.
* Strong understanding of different teaching approaches and strategies for supporting children with SEND.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
* Commitment to promoting inclusivity, diversity, and equality in education.
