Job description
Aspire People is working in partnership with a thriving secondary school in East London to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated English Teacher to join their team from September. This is a full-time role, ideal for both experienced teachers and ECTs looking to begin or continue their career in a supportive and forward-thinking environment.Key Responsibilities:
* Plan, prepare and deliver engaging English lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4
* Assess, track and report on student progress in line with school policies
* Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners, including those with SEN or EAL
* Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and achievement
* Contribute to the wider life of the school, including enrichment activities and school events
* Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and support student outcomes
* Maintain high standards of behaviour and follow the school's behaviour management policies
* Participate in staff meetings, CPD sessions, and parent evenings as required
Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
* Strong subject knowledge and a passion for English literature and language
* Excellent classroom management skills
* Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
