SEN Teaching Assistant - Reception Classroom (Full Time)Bolton| September 2025 - July 2026 | 8:30am - 3:30pm |
Are you passionate about supporting children with additional needs in the early years of their education? A nurturing and inclusive primary school in Rochdale is looking for a compassionate and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils within their Reception classroom from September 2025 to December 2025, the school will be looking to take the Teaching Assistant onto a perm contract from Jan 2026.
The Role:
* Full-time, term-time only: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm
* Working within a Reception classroom to support children with a range of special educational needs (SEN)
* Providing 1:1 and small group support tailored to individual learning and developmental needs
* Assisting with early learning activities including phonics, speech and language support, and social skills
* Helping children with classroom routines, sensory regulation, and transitions throughout the day
* Collaborating closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement support plans
What We're Looking For:
* Experience working with children with SEN, particularly in an EYFS setting (desirable)
* A calm, patient, and caring approach
* Strong communication and observation skills
* Ability to build positive, trusting relationships with young children
* Relevant qualifications or training in SEN support or childcare are an advantage
